Paris metro stabbing results in three injured women

(MENAFN) A man stabbed three women at different stations along Line 3 of the Paris metro on Friday, leaving authorities investigating the shocking incidents. The metro line runs between the Bagnolet and Levallois-Perret communes, and the attacks reportedly occurred as the women were boarding or exiting trains.

All three victims suffered minor injuries and were treated on-site by emergency personnel.

Police confirmed that the suspect was later arrested at his residence. According to authorities, he is of Malian origin and was born in 2000.

Officials have ruled out terrorism as a motive. Preliminary assessments suggest the attack was carried out by an individual with psychological vulnerabilities, highlighting concerns about public safety and the importance of monitoring mental health risks in urban settings.

Investigators continue to review security footage and interview witnesses to understand the full circumstances of the attacks.
